In association with the Diocese of Durham, Cranmer Hall (St John’s College, Durham), the Wesley Study Centre and the Commission for Christian Unity for the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, the CCS is organising an afternoon colloquium at St John’s College exploring the findings thus far of the major collaborative project Receptive Ecumenism and the Local Church and inviting participants to help shape the final phases of the project’s work. The event will culminate with the Annual Cundy Christian Unity Lecture 2012 – presented by Rt. Rev. Justin Welby, Bishop of Durham, who will be present for the entire afternoon.

Receptive Ecumenism and the Local Church - A Short Colloquium: The colloquium will explore Receptive Ecumenism and its relevance, respectively, for Anglican, Catholic and Methodist relations. The afternoon will draw here both on the regional project that we have been running in recent years (Receptive Ecumenism and the Local Church) and on where respective national and international dialogue processes are up to.
