The carved plaque celebrating the Partnership Link
The purpose of this partnership link is to encourage, support and learn from each other in our mission and ministry as members of the body of Christ in God’s kingdom.
• We hope to develop relationships through email contact sharing news, photographs, prayer requests and mission initiatives
• We will encourage circuits and churches to link with similar congregations
• We will explore the possibility of small groups visiting each other
• We will be open to the movement of the Spirit as to how the partnership develops
• The Partnership Link will initially be for five years with a review at the end of that time.
Message from Bishop John Ataya, Miathene Synod, Kenya.
Greetings to members of the Darlington District,
We are very much encouraged and touched by the kind donations which Circuits and the District have given. We are particularly touched by the donation for food relief which will be a welcome gift to some families this Christmas. We intend to buy food and distribute it to families in Isiolo who are hard hit by cattle rustling and in Kianjai Circuit, Muthara Circuit and Lower Karma Circuit. The £4,008 from Darlington District will be divided - half to assist Mbaranga Dispensary and the other half to assist complete part of the Bishop's manse so that when the group from the District comes here in July 2010 there will be accommodation available.
May God bless you as you approach this festive season and as you think of the coming of the saviour of the world, may Christ's light shine in your plans, activities and lives.
