There are two safeguarding training course run by the Methodist Church:

  • Foundation Module: These are run by local trainers. Contact your Circuit Safeguarding Officer or Minister for more information.
  • Advanced Module (formerly Leadership Course): these are run by regional trainers. See here for more details of when the next courses are and how to book.

    Who needs to attend the safeguarding courses?

    People working with children/youth Yes Leaders of these groups need to attend
    Church/Circuit Stewards Yes -

    *with pastoral responsibility
