You are invited to join us at Bondgate Methodist Church, Darlington, on Saturday 5th October for a day on Holy Habits. We will be led by Andrew Roberts, author of a book of that name and one of the project team involved in creating the Holy Habits resources for BRF. Inspired by Luke's model of church in Acts 2:42-47, Holy Habits is a creative resource which supports discipleship formation within a range of church activities (worship, small groups, community outreach, intergenerational work) by focusing on 10 habits which help to form a way of life. The habits are: Biblical teaching; Fellowship; Breaking Bread; Prayer; Sharing Resources; Serving; Eating Together; Gladness and Generosity; Worship; Making more Disciples. They can be used in any order, separately or as an integrated approach to discipleship formation in a local church or circuit. The resources were trialled and created in the Birmingham Circuit and the URC has adopted Holy Habits as a central part of its discipleship formation startegy. Within the Darlington District, the programme has been picked up by the Stokesley Circuit and other circuits are looking at it. The programme offers a practical way of responding to Our Calling by building circuit identity through discipleship.

Do join us if you're free and please encourage people in your circuit or local church to join us. The attached flyer contains more details and you can book onto the day at https://forms.gle/JyWwtyt985UYabxk6 . We look forward to seeing you on 5th October.
