Station Manager needed for new community local radio station in the Leven Valley North Yorkshire
A new internet community radio station for the Leven Valley has been developed to a stage where it is to go live in September 2019. The station will be based in the Chapel community Hub in Hutton Rudby but will relate to all the villages in the Leven valley.
The station will have a strong Christian ethos and will aim to promote and develop the community, and provide a platform for community organisations throughout the valley
A full-time station manager is to be recruited in time for the launch and will be responsible for launching and managing the station which will be run by volunteers.
The successful manager will have had positive experience of managing volunteers, be capable of dealing successfully with external contacts and organisations, have a directed work ethic and experience in IT systems -preferably in a broadcasting or up-front communications environment.
They will also be able to promote the Christian ethic of the station particularly from a Methodist perspective.
The role will be a rolling fixed term appointment initially for two years with ongoing employment being subject to the success of further funding and sponsorship.
The salary will be in the range £20000-£25000 pa depending on how well the successful candidate meets the requirements.
