DDVC Eco Zero Waste Meal

News from the Durham & Deerness Valley Circuit

Our Circuit Zero Waste meal at Sacriston showed what can be done with food that would usually go into landfill. The 5 kinds of soup, the bread buns and pancakes were all heading that way but were all enjoyed by those attending. And we were able to share lots of information about lessening our food waste. We also sent a donation of £130 to REfUSE in Chester-le-Street to help with their Community Cafe and who helped us source the waste food. Thank you to all who made soup and pancakes and who came to the meal.
