Pilgrimage for Rural Mission

In summer 2024 we had two pilgrimages.

This first pilgrimage was called Pilgrimage for Rural Mission and it was our first circular route from Lealholm Methodist Chapel via Glaisdale Head Chapel.

It was a very wet, windy and foggy day. The pilgrims had their endurance levels well and truly tested but in the midst of it we received wonderful and warm reception from the two chapels.

The lunch at Glaisdale Head was scrumptious with plenty of leftovers taken away for the rest of the journey. We learnt that we must return to Eskdale Valley when the weather lets us see the beauty of it in full.
