The Chaplaincy Crew volunteers who were gathered together by Tony, the community Chaplin had a great time mixing and mingling during the days that the tall ships were in harbour. Together they gave out over 300 angels, and cards with information about six8nine. They also spent many times in prayer with strangers, chatted with other volunteers, ship crew members and the event staff. On some days they walkedthe entire festival end to end, and other days the Chaplaincy Crew split up to cover different areas. They soon learned the value in being present in a particular area and letting folk come to them, rather than trying to cover everywhere at once. Most of the Chaplaincy Crew expressed being surprised with how much they enjoyed being there to chat and listen to people. Overall it was a successful presence ministry opportunity.
