ACORN

The ACORN method of connecting with people grew out of the Covid-19 pandemic and has been developed by Michael Harvey, Director of the National Weekend of Invitation.

ACORN method is a spiritual practice, a way to help us reach our neighbours. It's about establishing a deep connection with people in our community. It's based on a missiologist called Vincent Donovan who wrote a book called 'Christianity Rediscovered'. He said that we have made a mistake by thinking that we take God with us into any given situation, when in fact God is already there. Our job is to find out what God is already doing and join God in the conversation that is already happening.
This video explains in detail what the letters of ACORN stand for and how you can use this method to connect with people in your community.
