When is the next training?

Here is a list of dates for all of the upcoming trainings happening across the Darlington and Newcastle Districts. For more information about training, including what the training involves, who needs to do the training, and FAQ, click here.

Foundation Modules

Face-to-Face Foundation Modules

Circuits organise Face-to-Face Foundation Module training sessions, which are then advertised here.

• Saturday 1st November, Carville Methodist Church, Durham, 10 am- 12.30 pm. Contact Stuart Lawson on stuart.lawson123@aol.co.uk, or call 07949264759 to book a place.

If no Foundation Modules are happening near you, please get in touch with your Circuit Safeguarding Officer (CSO), who will be able to organise a training session. If you are a CSO, and would like to work together with CSOs in neighbouring Circuits to organise training together, get in touch.

Online Foundation Modules

As a region, we run a few online Foundation Modules to help out Circuits. Here are the dates; the links to book will follow.

• Thursday 22nd January 2026, 1 pm-4 pm
• Saturday 21st March 2026, 9.30 am -12.30 pm

We're in the process of planning our Face-to-Face Advanced Modules for the next year. Here are the dates. I will confirm the venues shortly.

Online Advanced Modules involve 4-6 hours of independent e-learning, and then a two-hour Gathered Session on Zoom, to discuss the learning with others.
